Celebrity Census — Sports
In this section, we'll share celebrity census finds for more than 160 different sports figures, many now legends and members of their respective Hall of Fame. Once we share our list, we'll be looking for visitors to this site to share their special finds. There are many more sports figures that we can find on our own, so please join in on the fun.
At right is legendary baseball player Jimmy Piersall. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut just two weeks after the great stock market crash of 1929, James Anthony Piersall was a stand-out baseball and basketball player at Waterbury's Leavenworth High School before turning pro.
He appears on in the 1930 U.S. Census for Waterbury, New Haven County, Connecticut.
